Day 1

Arrival and transfer to Jinja

Your guide picks you up at Entebbe airport via Kampala city depending on time you can through the city and have lunch or buy some African crafts and then after proceed to the hotel in Jinja to relax as you prepare for the next day adventures in Jinja where the source of the Nile is found.

Day 2

Boat cruise and horseback riding on the Source of the Nile

After breakfast you set off for the first adventure of this safari, start with horse back riding and end the with the Boat cruise on the Nile. Be prepared for a day of great experiences with speed and excitement. When the experience is over your guide picks you and takes you to the hotel.

Day 3

Transfer to Sipi falls

After having an early breakfast, your guide/driver will transfer you to which is an attracting adventure viewing the scenic landscape through the windows as you head to eastern part of the country and you will have a stopover to have lunch then continue to the lodge.

Day 4

Hike on the Sipi falls and transfer to Pian upe

After having a soaked breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the starting point of hiking on Sipi falls where will be marveling the different attractions and experiencing the hike up to the ancient cave which is known to be the first royal family of the Sabine hence the hike will take 2 to 3hrs then after you get back to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Pian upe world life reserve, Be there by lunch time then after lunch relax a little as you prepare for an evening game drive which is the most adventurous game drive. During the game drive you most likely to see the cheetah, leopards, Implas, Kobs, White Eared Kob, the biggest bird Ostrich and many others.

Day 5

Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast you make the last part of the journey to Kidepo Valley national park. This park is known as one of the last untouched wildernesses in Africa. you will drive through moroto the northern part of the country as you will be having some stop overs in the villages of Karamoja be in Kidepo in the evening for the overnight.

Day 6

Morning Game Driver

Get up early to enjoy a morning game-drive in the area of the Kanangorok hot springs. If you are lucky you can see ostriches in this area. Then after the morning game drive get back at the lodge for relaxation and lunch as you prepare for the evening Game drive which will let you see the the Elephants, Zebras, giraffes, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and many others.

Day 7

Transfer to gulu town

This will be an interesting day in the car as you are travelling through the remotest parts of Uganda, see villages and nature passing by the window. Spend the night in Gulu Uganda’s second biggest town. If you have time you can go for a city walk in the evening to explore more of the northern Uganda.

Day 8

Transfer to Murchison falls national park

After breakfast you set off for the drive to Murchison falls national park which first biggest national park with a lot of attractions such the biggest water falls in East Africa, with a lot of both Mammals and bird species, with both Savannah woodland and grassland vegetation and much more.

Day 9

Game-drive and boat-cruise in Murchison Falls National Park

Get up early in the morning to meet the animals of the savanna. During this morning game-drive you can see giraffes, elephants, lions and more. In the afternoon it is time for a boat-cruise on the mighty Nile spotting for example hippos, crocodiles and birds on the shores. Spend the night in Budongo forest (a part of Murchison Falls) to get close to the jungle.

Day 10

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Be prepared for a long day in the car made easier by making a stop in a village to stretch your legs, taking a look at a tea plantation and studying the Ugandan countryside passing by the window. You have a stop over for lunch in Fort portal town before you proceed to the lodge.

Day 11

Chimps trekking

Be woken up by the sounds of the jungle and get ready for your chimps trekking experience. Your guide takes you to the starting point and you set off in to the beautiful jungle to see the chimpanzees. After the chimps trekking your guide meets you and takes you to the lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park.

Day 12

Game-drive and boat-cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early in the morning for a game-drive in the Kasenyi part of Queen Elizabeth national park. Here you have the chance of seeing lions, elephants, buffaloes, an abundance of birds and more. After lunch your guide takes you to the afternoon boat-cruise on Kazinga channel. This two hour boat ride is a great highlight were you for example can look for hippos, crocodiles, elephants and warthogs along the shores of the channel.

Day 13

Tree-climbing lions in Ishasha and transfer to Bwindi

Head off to the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth national park in the morning. The drive there goes along an adventurous road and you have the chance of seeing baboons and elephants along the way. In Ishasha you find topis, buffaloes and search for the tree-climbing lions. The lions in this area are famous for climbing up great fig trees to take a rest. After finishing your game-drive the journey goes on to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Enjoy the changing landscape as the car slowly climbs up towards the misty mountains of the gorillas.

Day 14

Gorilla trekking

You have now reached a highlight of this Discover Uganda safari; the gorilla trekking day. Your guide will take you to the starting point of the gorilla trekking in the morning and you set of for your adventure. The trek takes you through the jungle up to the point where the gorillas are and you get to spent one hour with them. When you are back from the gorilla trekking your guide takes you to the stunningly beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 15

Relax by Lake Bunyonyi

Have a free day by Lake Bunyonyi. Here you can rent a canoe to explore the islands, take a swim (the lake is free of hippos, crocodiles and bilharzia), go for a hike or just relax with a book or from this point you can visit the Batwa on an optional activity.

Day 16

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast you start off with your guide towards Lake Mburo national park. A landscape of rolling green hills will pass by the windows before you reach the town of Mbarara for lunch and then continue to the lodge in Lake Mburo national park and you will be welcomed by the Zebras.

Day 17

Safari-walk and game-drive

Start the day early with a safari-walk in Lake Mburo national park. Get the experience of being one with nature as you see the animals close by during the walk. Have breakfast at the lodge and relax a bit before lunch. After lunch in the afternoon it is time for your game-drive in the park, here you can see impalas and zebras. Get back to the lodge to enjoy your last evening in Uganda’s national parks on this Discover Uganda safari.

Day 18

Transfer to Kampala

Have a relaxed breakfast and then start the journey to Kampala. Make a stop along the way for lunch at the Equator and take the chance to stand with one foot on either side on the southern and northern hemisphere. After the last part of the drive to Kampala your guide takes you to the hotel for a relaxed afternoon/evening.

Day 19

City and Botanical Gardens

Go for a city tour of Kampala before heading to Entebbe botanical gardens. The city tour can be adapted to your interests of crafts shopping, cultural sights or community tourism then after you proceed to the Botanical gardens in Entebbe where you will explore the variety of botanical trees See several bird species and many others.

Day 20

Transfer to Mabamba Swamp and Entebbe Airport

Your guide will transfer you to mabamba swamp this area is most famous for the great Shoe bill and the Birding paradise where you can see several bird species not only the shoe bill stork the after the attraction you will be taken to Entebbe Airport.
